The Snuggle Bunny Poncho is a pull over style poncho, designed to be used in the car seat (over straps) in the smaller sizes – it goes up to size 14 for regular poncho wear. ***IMPORTANT – do not use unsupervised (such as in a car seat) for any child that does not have adequate motor control to easily remove the hood if it moves onto their face. Also, do not use when car is fully warmed, due to risk of overheating. It is meant to be used at very low temperatures for short trips only, when the car is not fully warmed***
For more details on the features offered with the basic Snuggle Bunny Poncho (free version), click here.
The Bunny Bundle includes several add on features for the basic Snuggle Bunny Poncho. There is an alternate hood option with no band, plus an optional brim. The alternate hood can be combined with the elastic casing option from the original pattern.
There is also a zipper option. The zipper can be placed on the front of the cape (to make it easier to do car seat buckles) or on the back (so the sides can drape around the child instead of the back needed to be flipped up over the car seat). The zipper stops just below the hood – it does not open up all the way (the poncho still needs to pull over the head).
Please note – all hood/cape style combinations are compatible with the reversible construction methods, EXCEPT an elastic casing hood with a zippered cape – that combination cannot be made reversible.
The pages can be assembled by trimming the pages OR by using trimless guidelines version, and there is an A0 file for large format printing.
