The Starbright and Starlight Summer Sleep Sack patterns are designed for those warm summer nights, with a close fit, to wear by itself or over a thin onesie. If desired, you can size up for a looser fit and more layering options. The regular fit is designed for stretchy knit fabrics (or with Starlight, knit bodice and woven sack) but it can be made entirely out of woven fabric if sized up.
Starbright features a round neck bodice with snaps at the shoulders, and an A-line lower sack, with optional bottom snap opening for easy diaper changes.
Starlight features an attractive crossover style bodice with snaps at the shoulders, and a gathered lower sack, with optional bottom snap opening for easy diaper changes. The gathered style is perfect for airy woven fabrics such as double gauze, paired with a close fitting knit bodice (or size up and make the bodice in woven too).
The patterns are designed to mix and match – you can pair the Starbright round neck bodice with the Starlight gathered sack, or the Starlight crossover bodice with the A-line sack.
The instructions feature a french seam option for the sack side and bottom, which give it extra strength to hold up against the pressure of children walking on the seams.
Sizes go from XXS-XL, fitting approx newborn to a child age 4-5. I strongly recommend using the measurement charts in the tutorial to select your size.
